Job Summary: |
The Boathouse is a great summer add-on to Wright’s Beach Camp campground. A fun way for the guests of the campground and other visitors to enjoy the beautiful Skaha Lake. The boathouse attendants will be responsible for the ship-shape operations of all watercraft rentals and equipment. Attendants will ensure all is afloat with respect to the campground, cleanliness of the shack, beach area and maintain smooth sailing in the boathouse. |

Required Qualifications: |
This position requires physical lifting. Must be able to work in outdoor environments, especially hot and humid conditions. Must be okay with working in the water. Boat operators license required. Ability to handle cash sales and POS machine sales. Familiarity with computers and basic computer skills. |
Responsibilities: |
Boathouse Attendant is in direct contact with the guests in the campground, therefore appearance, conduct and strong language skills are essential. Employees will execute the job responsibilities in a motivated, efficient and professional manner.
Greeting customers and providing detailed information about available equipment.
Assist with daily cleaning, opening and closing procedures.
Regularly inspect the beach, the boathouse and all equipment to ensure cleanliness.
Continually monitor lake activities and ensure guests are following lake rules and playing safely.
Responsible for the daily reservation of all rentals. Monitoring emails and phone call reservations.
Responsible for reservation check-in and check-out; following appropriate procedures for processes – forms, waivers, licenses, credit cards, refunds, cancellations, collection of payments.
Assist rental customers on boating rules and procedures on all rentals, orientation, return time, late fee policies, weather related policies when needed and lake map orientation.
Assist in refueling operations as well as oils checks on all vessels. |
Wage rate: $18-$20/hr depending on experience. Potential end of season bonus.
